Elf Parade & the Lighting of the Greens
All children under the age of 9 are encouraged to participate. Santa will lead the parade while the Belmont Youth Band will be playing Holiday music. The Elf Parade will organize behind the T.T. Wentworth Museum (330 S. Jefferson Street) and concludes in front of the courthouse stairs on Palafox Place. Immediately following the five-block parade, elves can refuel with a complimentary cookie in front of the Saenger Theatre entrance (Intendencia Street) just in time for Lighting of the Greens. Ring in the season with live caroling as Santa Claus officially lights-up downtown at 5:35 p.m. on the steps of the new Saengar Theater entrance.
