Grand Opening Program

The DIB has a Grand Opening Program for businesses locating within the DIB district. We will design and mail invitations, including all businesses within a three-block radius of the new business, invite the press, bring a representative from the City Council to welcome the new business owner, and provide a ribbon for the ribbon-cutting. Visit the DIB website to review the guidelines for the program. Grand Openings take two to three weeks to plan.

Belle Amé: Wednesday, November 2nd

Live, Love, Lather,
Belle Amé Handcrafted Bath and Beauty Products Opens in Downtown Pensacola

"Your skin is so soft. You smell great!" Comments we all wish to hear, and finding the perfect products for our precious epidermis is now convenient with the grand opening of Belle Amé in Downtown Pensacola.

Located at 112 S. Palafox Place, City Mayor Ashton J Hayward will be welcoming local resident and owner Yvette Crooke-Avera with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony on Wednesday, November 2nd at 2pm. Light Hors d'oeuvres and product samples will be offered.

"Belle Amé offers extensive array of handcrafted soaps, lotions, bath fizzes and aromatherapy products, with attentive guidance on selecting the most appropriate products for your skin," says Crooke-Avera.

All of our Belle Amé's merchandise is handcrafted and formulated with pure essential oils and distinctive blends of fragrances utilizing Shea butter, mango butter, jojoba oil, olive oil, sweet almond oil, palm oil, coconut oil, grape seed oil and cocoa oil. Individual soap is hand cut and packaged, and all containers are hand bottled and labeled.

"We are here to help you discover products that rejuvenate and soothe with personalized attention," explained Crooke-Avera.

Belle Amé has been hand crafting at their 9th Avenue location for a number of years. The move to Downtown Pensacola culminated with extensive traffic and demographic research compiled by the city's Downtown Improvement Board. Crooke-Avera selected the Palafox Place location because of its proximity to the hub of activity.

"Our location is within walking distance to many of the downtown businesses, so it is convenient for clients to visit with us during a lunch break or stop by on their way home. And our products are not exclusive to women. In many ways, a man's skin is subjected to even harsher conditions from the outside environment. I recommend that my women clients bring their man along occasionally so I can assist them as well," said Crooke-Avera.

Belle Amé is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm and can be reached at (850)-912-8240. Products may also be purchased online at www.belleame.com
